im so sick of broken political promises at this point, i cant stand the rhetoric every speech. Yes we can! vote for change! Our country first! Blah! Blah! Blah!
watching palins speech(the only one i watched, im sure they were all the same) the other day was mind-numbingly retarded yet so hilarious watching these people shout, "woo" after every pause or voice inflection no matter what is said. GOD get a friggin life. palin could have seriously said, "one day cows will overthrow us all; we need to conserve milk NOW!" and get an uproar. i really get upset when i hear people talking about how moved they are with these speeches. they are all really the same. let's take this country into a new direction, or some variant.
generally i think the majority of the population doesnt know much about the issues, and i cant blame them(picking a side and choosing whichever candidate is nominated is not really knowing and agreeing with the issues)...all we have heard to this point is rhetoric...from both sides, i dont have the time or patience to sift through all the b.s. on their websites to try and get actually to the heart of the issues. i do know a few things, i know i want to keep taxes low, allow drilling in alaska, no to universal healthcare (govt f*cks everthang up), mixed reviews on iraq, no to abortion (because i havent yet knocked up a stripper in dallas...thats a call noone wants nine months later...hi this is candy and this here is candy jr. phh...no thanks heres 200 bucks clean it out - thats a JOKE: daniel tosh)and i love obama as a speaker but dont want to cast a vote based on how somebody speaks rather than the issues...oh and i know they both have "comprehensive plans" for just about everything. seems conservative to me. yet...why should i believe mccain? why should i even vote at all. i voted republican last election mainly because i wanted less government spending...but that didnt work out too well. im clueless at this point, i probably wouldnt vote at this point if a ballot was thrown in my face.
with all that said, im very interested in the debates which will be coming soon. they really lay all the issues out on the table and allow one candidate to refute his opponent for either evading the question, telling half-truths, misleading the public. it also lets you know how strong willed a person is, how good a speaker they are and how well they might be able to run a country.
aiight thats it for now. have to go spend my time doing something more worthwhile than reading about comprehensive plans...like fantasy baseball
